Overview
As an Anvil DevOps Engineer, you will be part of the ION Platform teams which are globally responsible for the technical support, maintenance and enhancement of IT systems covering entire ION Platforms, which includes the Anvil 9 and Marketview infrastructure. In order to support an Agile Way of Working, the Platforms and Capabilities squads will work closely together in order to meet the business’ needs. The ION Platform DevOps Engineer will play an important role in maintaining the ION Platform and supporting the rest of the ION Platform squad as well as the other dependent squads.

Responsibilities
The Anvil DevOps Engineer will combine analytical, technical and functional expertise in order to perform the following:
- Fulfill an Environment Manager role for the DTAP environments to ensure all ION Platform environments are adequately managed and fit for purpose and use by different teams for different purposes, including Data refreshes, projects and testing
- Create and maintain tools for monitoring, testing and automate manual activities
- Assist the ION Platform squad or other related squads any required tasks like collecting logs for investigation, doing checks after changes/patches, etc.
- Doing Linux and Citrix patching and using automated continuous delivery pipeline to do software releases
- Fully contribute to improving the ION Platform squads processes whilst also ensuring all mandatory requirements such as IT risk control, change control, etc. are adhered to
- Work on Risk-related controls such as Security Monitoring, Identity and Access Management, Change Management, Platform Security, and more
- Contribute to improvements and be proactively engaged in the teams Scrum ceremonies
Requirements
You are:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or level
- Proficient in Oracle, LINUX skills including scripting and housekeeping
- An excellent analytical problem-solver; you are curious, you challenge the status quo, and take initiative to find out how things work even if you have to work independently
- A strong written, verbal, and formal communicator (and are fluent in English)
- An excellent team player who has a focus on aligning personal tasks with overall team objectives
- Solutions-focused, with the ability to derive creative, smart, and practical solutions to complex problems
It would be great if you also had:
- Experience in a Trading environment and preferably some knowledge of Repo’s, Securities Finance, Bonds, IRS, as well as futures products, workflows, and respective ION components
- Experience with any Job Scheduling tools
- Basic/Extended knowledge and experience with Continuous Delivery tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Ansible
